Award to university research projects on standardisation


UNE has opened applications for the Prize for academic works on standardisation. The projects, which must be individual and original work, should have been presented at any Spanish university between 1 January 2015 and 15 September 2017, and they must be accompanied by a summary.

Applications will be accepted until midnight on 15 September, and those awarded a prize will be announced on UNE's website around world standardisation day, which is 14 October 2017.

The aim of this Prize is to raise awareness among university students of the importance of technical standards in the professional arena, and to encourage organisations to participate in standardisation. Students of any Spanish university can participate. The prize is divided into three categories: essay, end of degree project and master's degree final project.

For each of the categories the following prizes are offered:

-First prize will be one of the following options:

a) A grant for a 50% discount on the cost of AENOR's "Master's Degree in integrated quality management systems, environment and health and safety at work”.
b) Free enrollment on the International University of Rioja (UNIR)'s “University Masters in Environmental and Energy Management in Organisations”.
c) Free enrollment on any course from AENOR's training catalogue, with a maximum duration of 21 hours.

-For the winners and two finalists in each category, AENOR will publish either an extract of the work presented or the whole essay.

-Winners, finalists and runners-up will be invited to join one of the training courses on standardisation given by AENOR.
