Aguas de Calpe receives 5 certifications

2017-06-16

Global Omnium has obtained AENOR certificates for Quality Management Systems (UNE-EN-ISO 9001), Environmental Management Systems (UNE-EN-ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001), Energy Management Systems (UNE-EN-ISO 50001) and Risk Management Systems (AENOR EA 31).

These certificates have been obtained thanks to the joint planning between the City Council of Calpe and Global Omnium, through the joint venture Aguas de Calpe.

The Quality Management certificate in accordance with the UNE-EN-ISO 9001 Standard improves processes and eliminates the costs of ‘poor quality’. Meanwhile, the Environmental Management Systems certificate, under the UNE-EN ISO 14001 Standard, helps to prevent environmental impact, while also optimising power consumption.

The Occupational Health and Safety certificate related to the OHSAS 18001 Standard helps to reduce work accident rates and to increase productivity; whilst enabling the company to comply with prevention legislation.

The Energy Management Systems certificate (UNE-EN-ISO 50001) helps to manage and reduce companies' power consumption, resulting in lower financial costs and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

Finally, the Risk Management Systems certificate, based on technical specification EA 31, helps to minimise the overall risks that can affect organisations, thereby ensuring their sustainability and fulfilment of objectives. In addition, it helps to mitigate the possible effects caused by incidents.

Global Omnium is a Spanish water cycle management company with an active presence in 11 Spanish autonomous communities and 4 countries.
