Connected Industry 4.0 Standardisation Conference

2017-11-10

The Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO) is promoting the Connected Industry 4.0 Initiative by developing different lines of action aimed at raising knowledge and encouraging the adoption of this new manufacturing paradigm within the Spanish industrial framework, so that the sector is prepared to compete in the foreseeable future.

Among these lines of action, the Strategic Area 4.2 "Regulatory framework and standardisation" recognises the crucial role that standards are going to play in guaranteeing the deployment of all the necessary technology. To cover the needs of the Spanish industry in terms of standards, a Standardisation Work Group has been created as part of the Connected Industry 4.0 Initiative.

To make known this state-of-the-art standardisation in this field, the Sub-Directorate General of Industrial Digitisation and Collaborative Environments of MINECO has collaborated with UNE to organise this one-day conference. Begoña Cristeto Blasco, General Secretary of Industry and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises for the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, will be responsible for inaugurating the session.

In addition, the Director of Standardisation at AENOR, Javier García, will explain UNE's activity within the framework of Industry 4.0.
