Eiffage Energy receives the OHSAS 18001 certificate

2018-06-12

Eiffage Energía has received the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate OHSAS 18001 and the Regulatory Audit Certificate for Occupational Risk Prevention, which certify that the company has implemented an Occupational Health and Safety Management System that helps prevent occupational hazards and is committed to continuous improvement.

The Chief Executive Officer of AENOR, Rafael García Meiro, delivered both certifications to the Chief Executive Officer of Eiffage Energy, José Manuel Martínez, in an act that took place in the company's head office in Albacete and which included, among other people, the Provincial Director of Economy, Employment and Business from the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Nicolás Merino.

According to AENOR's CEO, Rafael García Meiro, "OHSAS 18001 is the international benchmark for Occupational Health and Safety, helping offer the safest environments and, therefore, reducing accidents and illnesses. AENOR has certified more than 6,800 work centres around the world with this seal, 185 of which are located in Castilla-La Mancha."

One of the most important advantages of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate OHSAS 18001, is that it contributes to decreasing the occupational accident rate and increasing productivity; enabling the company to comply with the legislation on prevention; and it encourages a preventive culture by integrating prevention into the company's general system.
