According to Decree 6386, published by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, all consumer goods introduced into the Kingdom of Arabia require a Certificate of Conformity (CoC), to guarantee customs clearance of shipments, thus ensuring the safety of consumers and confirming that the products comply with Saudi Arabian Standards, as well as the national, regional and international technical standards.
AENOR has been recognised by the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) to take part in the Product Conformity Programme (PCP), issuing Conformity Certificates prior to shipment.
All consumer products entering the country must comply with this requirements, with the exception of: foodstuffs and agricultural products, medicines and cosmetics, medical devices and equipment, crude oil.
Furthermore, all products entering Saudi Arabia must have irremovable labelling in English and Arabic with the description and exporter details, and the specifications of the country of origin, in accordance with the Circular issued by the Customs Authorities in Saudi Arabia on Marking of Country of Origin on 2009/01/18..
